MURIC CONGRATULATES ABBA KYARI
ON RE-APPOINTMENT AS COS

President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff (COS). This was announced a few minutes ago today 5th July, 2019. Abba Kyari was first appointed as COS on 27th august, 2015.

In a swift reaction, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has congratulated Abba Kyari on his reappointment. The human rights organization described the development as reward for loyalty, efficacy and dedication. This was contained in a press statement issued by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, on Friday, 5th July, 2019.

“We warmly congratulate the Chief of Staff on his reappointment. It is a reward for loyalty, efficacy and dedication. We charge him to rededicate himself to the challenges ahead and to emulate Mr. President in everything he does.

“COS sir, all Nigerians have the right to get attention. Treat all fairly regardless of ethnic, religious, political or ideological leaning. Remember that Nigeria is a complex society where looters are worshipped like gods and lies run faster than the speed of light. It is only uprightness and transparency that can vindicate a leader. We, therefore, demand from you total, unlimited and undiluted loyalty to the president. To whom much is given, much is expected.

The organisation also hailed Boss Mustapha on his reappointment as Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF).

“By the same token, we felicitate with the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Boss Mustapha, who was also reappointed today. Boss Mustapha has a singular responsibility to douse religious tension in the country and to debunk wrongful allegations of lopsided appointments and the myth of Islamisation.

“Finally, we assert clearly, categorically and unequivocally that MURIC and the rest of the Nigerian Muslim community repose full confidence in COS Abba Kyari and will continue to cooperate with the Buhari administration”.

Director,
Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC)
